This is a space for espresso science.
Tasting and roasting spaces, a lab for training roasters, and room
for a party all had to fit into an old house in Ballard. Found
objects and industrial bits and pieces helped develop the lab theme,
and the machines and tools of the trade enhance that feel. Bursts
of bright color and lots of stainless steel add punch to the space
while salvaged materials such as repurposed bowling lane planks and
old paneled doors lend character and a sense of history to this
edgy new roaster’s den.
